Jacob von Wahlert, Dainie Neely, and Alvin Hallberg

As we settle into the new year, AmCham Sweden is excited to welcome our three interns for Spring 2026: Alvin, Dainie, and Jacob. With diverse backgrounds and fresh ideas, they'll be making an impact across all aspects of our work. You can read their bios below, and we cannot wait for you to meet them!

Jacob:

My Name is Jacob von Wahlert, and I am currently pursuing a master’s program in Politics, Security and Crisis at Swedish Defense University in Stockholm, where my academic interests center on international relations, security, and transatlantic cooperation. I am greatly looking forward to this opportunity to deepen my understanding of U.S.-Swedish trade and diplomatic relations while gaining practical experience in public affairs and policy development. Joining the American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden is an exciting step in my professional development, and I am excited to contribute to the work of AmCham, to gain new knowledge in transatlantic trade relations, and to learn from experienced professionals.

Dainie:

Hello my name is Dainie Neely. I am an undergraduate student at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. I am studying Government with minors in Anthropology and Studio Art. My studies are focused on a variant of intersections between cultural understanding of humans and how laws and policy influence this understanding. I wanted to work at the American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden because I was drawn to AmCham's mission to strengthen business connections between the U.S. and Sweden. I am very excited to learn more about their work and Sweden’s global leadership in sustainable trade, and Arctic policy.

Alvin:

My name is Alvin Hallberg, and I am currently pursuing an MSc in Economics at the Gothenburg School of Economics. Through my studies, I am developing a strong analytical foundation and a keen interest in how economic theory can be applied to real-world challenges across policy, business, and global markets. I look forward to continuing to build my skills, engaging with professionals in the field, and exploring opportunities where I can contribute meaningfully to U.S.-Swedish trade while expanding my understanding of the economic and political forces shaping today’s world.
