Position Overview

AmCham Sweden is seeking a digitally fluent and detail-oriented Communications & Policy Associate to help drive our communications, manage strategic initiatives, and support high-level policy engagement. This is a unique opportunity for a rising professional to shape the transatlantic business agenda and elevate AmCham’s visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Communications & Content: Help manage digital channels like social media, the newsletter, and website. Create program content and materials that strengthen AmCham’s voice and visibility.

  • Policy Engagement: Coordinate Committees and programs, track U.S./EU/Swedish policy developments, prepare briefs, and help maintain key stakeholder relationships.

  • Programs & Projects: Support the delivery of high-profile events, manage outreach and speaker logistics, and assist with initiatives that advance AmCham’s mission.

  • Membership Growth: Support recruitment and onboarding of new members, engage current members, and help expand outreach to U.S. companies operating in Sweden.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

In addition, the ideal candidate brings:

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, journalism, government, or a related field

  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Strong writing skills in English; fluency in Swedish is required

  • Independence, resourcefulness, and the drive to take ownership of projects

  • Digital fluency: comfortable with content creation, platform management, and project tools

  • U.S.-related academic or professional experience is a plus

  • Bonus: experience with graphic design
