About Michael Vaccaro

Mr. Vaccaro is the acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs. He has been a Senior Executive Service member since 2013 and has held senior defense trade and industrial base roles across the Departments of State, Defense, and Commerce. He has been decorated by the governments of France, Germany, and Sweden for his contributions to international armaments cooperation and is a two-time recipient of the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Medal for Exceptional Civilian Service.
