A Year of Momentum and Growth: AmCham Sweden Hosts 2026 AGM and Transatlantic Summit

On June 3, 2026, AmCham Sweden hosted our Annual General Meeting (AGM), followed immediately by our annual Transatlantic Summit. Held at the beautiful residence of U.S. Ambassador Christine J. Toretti, the afternoon served as both a reflection on a highly successful year and a celebration of the enduring partnership between the United States and Sweden.

2026 Annual General Meeting 

The formal proceedings of the AGM were expertly led by AmCham Sweden’s Chair of the Board, Carl Mikael Dufberg. During the meeting, the chamber reflected on a year defined by strong momentum, which included welcoming 20 new member companies and further securing our financial foundation to invest in member value.

A central highlight of the AGM was the election of the 2026–2027 Board of Directors. We are thrilled to welcome our newly elected and returning board members, a dedicated, experienced group of executives who will champion AmCham’s mission to strengthen transatlantic trade and investment in the year ahead.

The Transatlantic Summit

Following the AGM, the program transitioned into the Transatlantic Summit. At a time of rapid global transformation, the commercial relationship between Sweden and the United States remains a vital stabilizing force.

As highlighted during the summit by AmCham Managing Director Peter Dahlen, Senior Director of Policy Jacob Dornbos, and the Honorable U.S. Ambassador Christine J. Toretti, this $216 billion partnership is deeply rooted in innovation, resilience, and security. The presentations emphasized that the transatlantic economy is not just about trade; it is about deep integration in areas that will define future competitiveness, such as advanced manufacturing, life sciences, cybersecurity, and secure supply chains.

The recent U.S.–Sweden Technology Prosperity Deal serves as a powerful testament to this shared vision, perfectly illustrating how our two nations are turning strategic alignment into practical cooperation.
