Last week, the Swedish Government put forward a proposal on how British citizens can remain living and working in Sweden if the UK leaves the European Union without a deal. The government proposes to create a special residency process permit for British citizens who are presently in Sweden under EU freedom of movement regulation. According to the proposal, this will be separate to, and distinct from, the ordinary residency process permit for third country nationals and be based on the EU regulation on freedom of movement, according to a press release.
