On April 24, in collaboration with the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and International Chamber of Commerce, AmCham Sweden invited members from all three chambers to attend a lunch seminar that provided insights into the opportunities and threats of digitalization in production and trade.
Moderated by David Landes, Head of Commercial Content Unit for the Local in Sweden, panelists included: Magnus Rentzhog, representing the Swedish Board of Trade; Jan Palmquist, representing Deloitte; Björn Norgren, representing GE; and Lena Johansson, representing the International Chamber of Commerce.
Due to the need for free data flows in production processes and trade between markets and from producers through supply chains to end-consumers, digitalization has opened up areas of concern for privacy and information security.
Today, because all businesses that buy, sell or produce depend on digital information to compete and succeed in any market environment. As the members of the panel provided insights from each of their perspectives, those in attendance gained knowledge of the benefits of, as well as potential risks involved with the technology there businesses rely on.
