Today, the EU and US have more than € 2.8 trillion invested in each other’s economies and are recognized as the world’s largest trading partners.
Earlier this year, U.S. President Barack Obama endorsed the Transatlantic Trade Initiative Partnership (TTIP), which has become a priority of the U.S. administration.
AmCham Sweden is now producing a series of videos to build support for TTIP in Sweden that will be posted on a youtube channel - TTIP Removing Barriers - in January 2104. The videos will create awareness of the proposal’s benefits for the general public, businesses, unions, consumer advocacy groups, students, politicians, and many other target audiences.
AmCham Sweden views this project as a great way to increase the visibility of TTIP as well as help our organization develop deeper contacts with U.S. Embassies and AmChams throughout Europe. Producing these videos will help position Sweden and AmCham Sweden as taking a lead role in supporting TTIP.
Our member companies and network organizations will be encouraged to subscribe and place a link to this series from your websites and other digital media channels.
In its entirety, the TTIP Removing Barriers series of videos will create awareness of the proposal’s benefits for the general public, businesses, unions, consumer advocacy groups, students, politicians, and many other target audiences.
Each video will individually highlight viewpoints on TTIP, and at the same time, clearly explain the benefits of the proposal in easy-to-understand terms from representatives from the U.S. and Swedish governments, economic experts, business leaders, consumer advocacy groups, and others. The goal is to communicate what a successfully concluded TTIP could mean to companies and the general public on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
Please watch for news from AmCham Sweden regarding TTIP Removing Barriers as the videos are introduced in the weeks and months ahead. Our member companies and network organizations are encouraged to subscribe and place a link to this series from your websites and other digital media channels. The videos are being produced together with AmCham Sweden member Diggin.
