Importance of Talent Development Highlighted at Breakfast Seminar
Jacob Dornbos
Today, attracting competent, skilled employees and developing a culture where they can thrive are among the biggest challenges any company faces. This is universally true, no matter what products or services an organization markets and sells.
On September 11, 2014, at the offices of Franklin Covey in Stockholm, more than 60 AmCham Sweden members and invited guests heard how successful companies create work environments and establish mindsets that raise effectiveness and productivity.
During the breakfast seminar, Victoria Roos Olsson of Franklin Covey introduced the audience to several exercises from the book “7 Habits of Highly Efficient People”. Written by Steven R. Covey a quarter century ago, and revised in several editions since it was first published, the book has sold more than 25 million copies. The practices and advice it contains have been adopted around the world by businesses of all sizes and varieties.
Rickard Hedberg, of Accenture in Sweden, who was first introduced to the “7 Habits” nearly 20 years ago, also spoke about how the daily practices he learned when he began his professional career continue to guide him today. The event was sponsored by AmCham Sweden member McDonalds.
