On February 12 at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), six members of the AmCham Sweden Finance Working Group shared their experiences of how American multinational corporations work across borders today. Trends in areas of accounting and finance, as well as managing teams of people from different cultures were highlighted in the workshop.
During breakout sessions, groups of students in Ebba Sjörgren’s master course provided questions to AmCham Sweden members in seven different categories. (1) Virtual Management, (2) Rewards culture, (3) Performance Management, (4) Business Partnering, (5) Outsourcing, (6) Leadership/Management and (7) Cultural Sensitivities. The groups met separately for 45 minutes, then presented their findings to the entire class. Each group was responsible for a 10-minute presentation.
