Networking and Marketing in the Digital Age - BUSINESS ROCKS BREAKFAST SESSIONS

  • Hard Rock Cafe Stockholm Sveavägen 75 Stockholm, Stockholms län Sweden (map)

It began slowly. But the impact today’s social media giants including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter have made on business is unmistakable and impossible to ignore. Today, these communication channels and tools are vital, and their use is multiplying at a phenomenal rate.

For example, LinkedIn experienced as few as 20 sign-ups a day shortly after it was launched in 2003. Now, a little more than a decade later, more than 380 million business professionals promote themselves, and organizations they represent through it's digital platform. And the number of users continue to climb.

AmCham Sweden invites you to hear from Mary-Rose Hoja, Founder of Hoja Consulting and Lisa Gunnarsson, Head of LinkedIn Nordics, as they present ways to fully harness the potential of today’s most powerful communication tools – and what’s in store for business tomorrow.

Mary-Rose Hoja
Featured in TED and Science, Mary-Rose trains professionals in strategic networking and is an expert in the use of social media tools. Mary-Rose will walk us through ways people connect and network socially and professionally in business today, online and off. Whether you are promoting yourself for a possible promotion or career change, or marketing an organization, product or service, Mary-Rose will give you inspiration to reach your goals.

 Lisa Gunnarsson
With more than 12 years of management experience, including marketing, corporate development, business operations, and organizational strategy, Lisa is currently Head of LinkedIn Nordics - the world's largest and most powerful network of professionals. Prior to LinkedIn, Lisa served in a variety of management positions at CEB. While at CEB, Lisa focused on advising leadership teams on how to close the gap between the talent business and corporate long-term strategy. Lisa will provide insights into how LinkedIn has evolved over time – and how it continues to stay ahead of the curve by introducing new practices that help keep its users at the forefront of business today.
