In recent years, Swedish-U.S. bi-lateral defense relations have deepened. Two examples of this are the 2016 Statement of Intent setting out the strategic resolve to increase the understanding and cooperation between Sweden and the United States with respect to defense, and the upcoming Aurora exercise. How important is Swedish-U.S. defense collaboration for each country? Is it possible, or necessary to further strengthen the relationship?
