We’ve moved! On Thursday, more than 400 of you helped us celebrate our move into United Spaces - an innovative and creative co-working space, and a hub for 21st century business. It’s an ideal environment for our lean operation and a welcoming home for our growing – more than a dozen new members since June - community of Swedish-American business executives.
With respect to future business leaders among our members, the Mentoring Program is now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 program -- the only English speaking mentoring program of its kind in Sweden. As you may know, the program helps young professionals sharpen their leadership skills and advance their careers by learning from more experienced business executives, and speakers who provide fresh perspectives on current business trends. It’s the perfect program for your high-performers -- you can apply here.
Looking back, it’s been a busy time since summer and the first America Day in Almedalen. In addition to the Fall Budget Briefing, Business Rocks breakfasts, the first Energy Lab, an Executive Forum with Hans Stråberg, we held our first Silicon Valley style Fireside Chat, co-hosted a leadership symposium, briefed a U.S. Congressional Delegation, and disseminated information about voter registration for the Americans among our member companies: register to vote here.
As we enter the last quarter of 2016, plans are already underway for the year ahead. 2017 will be a momentous year for AmCham Sweden as we will celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We would not be here today if it were not for you, our members. For this, we thank you all. Your support has been and continues to be fundamentally critical to building and strengthening the Swedish-American business community. Thanks to you, we are able to connect people and businesses to foster innovation and the creation of shared value.
And, naturally, your opinion matters. Elsewhere in this newsletter you will find an an article about our annual survey. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and help us identify the issues and topics you deem most critical in order to improve the quality of the programs and services we offer.
Finally, as we prepare to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in next year we are offering a special 25th Anniversary Silver Sponsorship, which, among other things, will recognize Silver Sponsors on programs and in our communications throughout the year. We look forward to commemorating this milestone with you throughout 2017.
