Policy Breakfast Series - The Social and Economic Values of Intellectual Property Rights: Are They Being Eroded?

For members of the Executive Forum
By Invitation only

The second session in our new Policy Breakfast series. The programs are informal, the setting intimate, the breakfast basic, and the content thought-provoking. Our aim is to cover subjects relevant to Swedish policy-makers, and with a connection to U.S. policy or U.S. commercial interests in Sweden.

The Social and Economic Values of Intellectual Property Rights: Are They Being Eroded?

Respect for intellectual property remains a central part of the modern society to the benefit of both businesses and consumers.

However intellectual property rights are sometimes claimed to have a negative impact on society and there is a growing tendency by regulators to interfere with intellectual property rights in various ways.  What are these challenges about – and what are their consequences for the social and economic value of intellectual property rights?
